tranny fluid colors

After I got my trans pan down I took a look at the fluid and noticed it had this metallic tint to it should I be worried?

Does your pan have a magnet in the bottom. if not get one. It's normal to have a what looks like a large amount of metal particles on the magnet after a long life. Other than the matallic look what color was the fluid. red or brownish red?

I do have a magnet, cleaned it off. The fluid was red, I don't think it was more than a year old.

I wouldn't worry worry about it.... when I dropped the trans pan on the Vic there was a layer of metallic sludge on the bottom, and that was 40k ago.... trans shifts awesome.

One more question how would my 2-3 spring position its self sideways in the cylinder

no idea but get rid of the 2-3 spring entirely

oh i did, did the whole j-mod thing friday. got shot in the face with the 1-2 spring and accumulator too

A C-Clamp works wonders for the 1-2 set

Too bad I had a tough time with my puny snap ring pliers
