traction control

right rear speed sensor does not work and my 98 mark eight needs one/ or a way to rig up a replacement. Suggestions?

Not very familiar with the Mk 8... but most of the speed sensors on any modern vehicle have a plug that disconnects from the wiring harness going to each wheel.

The other end of the sensor typically mounts behind the rotor and picks up a signal from a "tone ring" that is mounted inside the back of the rotor.

So unless something is messed up with the wiring... you should be able to buy a new speed sensor at your local parts store... and swap it out.
