Finally took my 97 LSC to the track with 138k on the clock. I'm kind of dissapointed in my times but think it's all in the launch because the speed is there. I guess the 75000 mile tires were never meant for this. :) Times: 15.68 at 92.34 mph, then two 15.7 passes... 60' on best run was 2.440, yuck... completely stock on 93 octane. I was trying to beat my buddies 2000 caddy DTS which ran a 15.5 at 88 mph, FWD ftw! haha

Hey man, havent heard from you in a LONG time! Hows everything going?

Not sure if I told you or not but I sold your old 94 a few months after I had it painted. It was a decent car though.

Those times seem about right. Thats what my 97 was running when it was stock. Now its running 14.6

Throw some money at it when you get extra, it will get faster.

And keep those huge freakin birds away from it too!

My 98 CE LSC ran 15.4's last year. I haven't even checked the air filter on that one yet.:)

Same here long time no post ... welcome back ...

Hope to see you on the board again...

Thats not bad times at all for all stock. Mine was 15's stock. A couple of mods and you'll be suprised what she'll be running.

Thx everyone, looks like my Mark is right about where it should be then... The driver is the one that needs upgrading. lol

I removed the air silencer yesterday so I should see on Weds night when I go back if I can bring the time down just a little bit.

As for the forums I pretty much just check in and see what projects people have going on, always a good read.

I'll be sure to remove the spare tire this time! ;)

The best I have done is a 15.2 so your close. My first time out I was seeing 15.6 all night

That was a 9.84 tuned.... my tires were holding me back.... Tommy with identical mods ran 9.70's.... but he has some wicked tires...

I'm rockin these 80,000 mile 225's... haha at least they only have around 10k on them so far.

I am also on 225/60/16's... worthless

I am on 225/60/16's as well but they are damn sticky. The best 60 foot time I have gotten so far is a low 2.1 but I think it can do a 2.0 with decent track prep. The compound of the tire is more important than size for the most part.

So howd you do at the track?

Will let you know tomorrow... just changed the plugs today, put in some fresh NGK TR55 v-power coppers. The old plugs looked pretty bad, my car is running lean! That's the one complaint I have with the Sniper the air/fuel tuning is not proven with their canned Mark VIII tune. Too bad I don't have the money for a real dyno tune. I'm about to run my tires real low on psi tomorrow, like 20psi and get them real sticky and try to launch it as hard as I can. I know the car has the power and gearing to do 13's, I just need to launch it right!

Right on man good luck. I agree you should be in the mid 13's with whats on your car. It should be faster than me. I know you have the tune for it. I was seting at 22-24 psi on the tires.
