Did the geniuses at Ford install the rivets so that the bolt part points towards the interior? I really don't want to take off the inside support of the door to get to the right side to drill these rivets out. I wish I had a grinder.

Yep. suuuuuuuucks. Nothing goes smoothly for me lol.

Not yet. But i did see a chunk of the clip in the bottom of the door.

Oh, wow...

Well maybe that track actually did break and it isn't the piece that popped out of mine. Superglue maybe? Depending on the size of the chunk?

Keep me posted.

See, the problem Ken, is there is no good point to start drilling. Unless I want to drill along side of that post.

Which I just did. And with enough finagling (and a super cramped hand), I got them out. Now to the hardware store.

You'll either need to use a bolt and nut or get an industrial strength rivet gun. IIRC, the rivet is like a half-inch!

Nut/bolt/lockwasher is my plan. and maybe some loctite.

I just did mine last friday. It was sort of a pain but doable, just drilled the crap out of them and popped them out with a hammer. I replaced with bolt, nut and lock washer. To reach in from behind I removed the speaker.
