My LS is due for some new tires. I wanted to change wheels, but cash flow won't allow. So... I'm sticking with the ugly factory 16's. Can you guys recommend a better tire size than stock 225/55/16? Thanks for your help!

Id go for a set of 245/50 16 tires with a lip guard. They would be a little wider, but nearly the EXACT same circumference. And the lip guard would keep them from looking like balloons.

So I decided to stick with an almost stock tire. Kumo Ecsta ASX. I ordered from tire rack, they called a short time later and canceled my order. He said the side wall can't support the weight of the LS. Stock is 225/55/16. I only dropped to a 225/50/16. Does this sound like bs to you all? Or is it true? I had this issue with them a couple years back when i ordered 245/40/18 for my 66 el camino.
