I'm replacing the lower ball joints on my 2001 LS. I've really messed up the stud while removing the nut on the passenger side tie rod end and need to replace the tie rod end. How do I go about removing the tie rod end? I've loosened the locking nut, but what is the correct way to keep the tie rod from turning while trying to remove the tie rod end? I don't want to ruin any more parts. Thanks for your help.

Grab it with a pair of pliers or vice grips.
Thanks. That's what I was thinking, but the nut on the tie rod end came off so hard, I broke a socket and messed up the stud with the vise grip. I didn't want to have the same experience getting the tie rod end off. Thanks again.
