THX/Nav software/maps update?

I searched unsuccessfully for threads on the topic. If someone can help or post a link to a thread that will help I will appreciate it. I am wondering if there is any way to update the software or the maps in the factory THX audio/navigation system in my '05 Ultimate. Thank you beforehand.

Wow, for $200 it sure isn't. What about just the software? In the information of my system I think it says version 5.0. Are there any newer versions that are available and worth getting? It just seems as if mine is terribly outdated. Looks like a variant of the Minesweeper game off of Windows 98. Doesn't suite the car.

Its not software its a DVD. The DVD just updates the maps for recent road changes etc. There is no practical/affordable/legal way to update the "software" on the OEM unit unless you want some features like backup camera etc. (see Alax7 posts on the subject). Most people that want improved graphics/updated tech go with an aftermarket head unit like the AVIC series.

I can download a better navigation app from the apple app store. Or a $99 garmin unit that comes with updates.
