I just noticed that my sensor is loose, is there a spec that it should be set at or can I just tighten it down and let the pcm do the rest?

I would say must tighten it down. I know when I replaced mine I just bolted on the new one.

Properly setting a TPS requires the use of a digital VOM. The car may run but it won't be set right otherwise.

Not so according to the factory service manual.

I just tightened it up per the instructions ( thanks Joegr )

And she seems to be a bit more responsive, and idle a lot better.

Good luck. The first time I checked, mine needed adjustment. That's what the slotted hole is for.

The one that's on the v8 do not have a slotted hole, I was able to obtain a reference voltage and watch it fluctuate, as the throttle plate moved, closed the voltage was around 0.35 or 0.24, and wot was 3.85.

Now when I wiggled the sensor with the car running I noticed that the idle RPM would change to a high rev if I pulled up on the sensor and low rev if I pushed down. Kind of like the A/C clutch engaging, disengaging.
