As the tittle states I want to know if the stock 1st gen 3.9 V8 throttle body can be ported or bore...

The only way it will help is if the opening for the intake manifold is larger than the bore of the throttle body. You'll have to take it and measure off to find that out.

there is plenty of room for improvement trust me i've done it lol, there is almost an 1/8 of an inch in some places you can enlarge the throttle body to match the aluminum neck that it attatches to, pm me if you have any questions

He has a Gen1.
I've looked into putting a 4.6 2v 75mm throttle body onto my LS as far as confirming the bolt patterns are the same and tps look to be the same. The linkage however as far as throttle and cruize control are different, probably an easy thing to overcome, I just stopped toying with it at that point. The adapter behind it looks like it can be openned to match but again I haven't followed through with it. Small HP gain at best. But TBs are cheap so maybe worth while...
