We don't have to worry about Al-Qaeda destroying us. We'll do that from within.

Did you see the protestors throwing crap at Karl Rove.

The civil war is starting... to heat up.

Dude, haven't you moved to Montana yet? I hear there's a vacant 10 by 12 shack available there. Sounds ideal for you.

Deville, you know better than that. First of all, Diane Sawyer recently interviewed Mahmoud I'monajihad and she wore a scarf over her head too.

Second, Pelosi just gave a huge speech on the day she was elected Speaker, in which she talked about women's rights and equality and how it's finally been achieved. (Condolleezza Rice, Margaret Thatcher, and Sandra Day O'Connor notwithstanding) And now she goes over to Terroristville and takes one for the team (women).

Miss Conflict Resolution is a stupid woman. Reaching out to your sworn enemies is not the way to solve conflicts.

There's a lot to say about Pelosi, but making her out to be some sort of terrorist, terrorist sympathizer, jihadist or Islamic because she wears a scarf is ridiculous.

I might as well post a picture of Bush shaking hands with Arab Sheiks; caption that ‘Terrorist Appeaser!’ and run around flapping my hands like Henny-Penny.

I never called her a terrorist sympathizer because of the scarf, but I did call her stupid and she is a terrorist appeaser. The definition of appeaser is:

Someone who pacifies or attempts to pacify (an enemy) by granting concessions, often at the expense of principle.

Get your facts straight.

my grandmother wears one of those when it rains... does that make her a terrorist?

As Fossten so eloquently stated, your grandmother is a terrorist "appeaser".

Thinking about it, my mother used to wear those back in the late 70's early 80's to keep her hair dry...

I erred on first part; I meant to put "appeaser" but put sympathizer instead, as you can note, when I mentioned Bush I said "appeaser".

Nobody has ever seen Pelosi wearing an ugly getup like that before, and you never will again except when she goes to the Middle East to appease terrorist governments. Take a look at any footage of Madam Speaker - she always has her hair coiffed...just...so...

I rest my case.

You realize that diplomats often partake in the customs of the people they're visiting... It's called diplomacy, even presidents do it.

This court is adjourned.

If that was a picture of Bush with the head wrap on, you might be making a point. Second, if it wasn't a picture of the President with an "ally" in his 80s, you might also have had a point.

I searched Google, I've been unable to find any pictures of Condi Rice covering her head when dealing with hostile foreign leaders.

But the offense of any of these House members going overseas to deal with foreign leaders goes far beyond simply wearing a headcover. While I'm opposed to the handful of Republicans who have done so, it must be noted, there is a significant difference between a local House member going overseas, and THE SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE doing the same.

Don't be opposed to the Republicans who have done so. After all, they haven't gone over there for the express purpose of UNDERMINING THIS ADMINISTRATION'S POLICY. That's what is so unforgivable about Nan See Pee Lo Si's actions.

I don't think any of these guys should be visiting heads of state, particular hostile countries overseas, without the expressed permission and request of the President or the State Department.

House and/or senate members from either party have no business dealing in foreign affairs like that, except at the pleasure of the president. The executive branch is meant to deal with foreign affairs, while the legislative branch has much more power domestically.

Both of you have a good point, and I'll accept it.

It is rather pathetic that Nan See's best excuse for going over there was, "Hey, if they can do it, why can't I? Waaaaah!"

Yea..I was going to say. How come the Bush admin. isn't assailing Republicans Aderholt and Wolf who were there the day before Pelosi arrived? What about Republican Hobson who is with the Pelosi delegation? Hypocrisy at it's highest level...typical...

This has already been addressed in this thread. The Washington Post (unbelievably) says it better than I.
