Hi Guys,
Even though they said it went through coils I still bought it because I just really liked it (handling, looks, performance). It's a 2004 v6 had 54m when I got it. Now 1 year later it has 71m (no problems til now)and last week got a miss. Put my Actron code reader on it and found Ingtion coil E, primary/secondary circuit malfunction. Found someone to tell me that was cylinder 5 (Whew not under intake). Before I could replace it through another code Cylinder 2, misfire detected? Replaced #5 coil (was dry no oil). Plug looked a little funny - it's electrode (the pin comming out of plug) was shaped like a pencil point. Don't if that is right or not. Anyway after eracing codes I drove the car and felt a noticible miss (check engine light flashed ) at ide no ck eng light? Drive and when I got on it eng light flashes. I now have 3 codes all showing a pending status - Ingition coil E , misfire cyl 2, and now misfire detected 1st 1,000revs.
Help

That's normal for the NGK plugs that come stock in these cars.

If you can afford it, the smart thing to do would be replace all of the coils. OR you can do like me and just replace the number 2 and do the rest when they come along. I've been replacing the coils on my 3.9 at a rate of about one every 2 months. Doesn't bother me too much.
