Well I got my car back from the stealership ;) So I decided to do the thermostat since I have that "gets hot in stop & go traffic" syndrome.

My fan (hydralic) only goes on slow mo speed I ordered a new actuator, for now I installed an electric fan in front until the part arrives.

I installed a new thermostat & bled the system following the instructions. I got heat asap and all seems well, the bleed hose was even hissing for a little which was amazing me.

Is it usual to get success at the first try? Right now I'm waiting for it to cool down to confirm the bottle levels. Also I haven't had any coolant loss so I don't suspect the bottle also its very clean looks new. I ordered another bottle just to have in case.

Am I just lucky? :D

It's worked on the first (and only) try the few times that I have done it.

I haven't replaced the degas bottle on my 06 yet, but I keep expecting to find a coolant loss each time I check. I may just go ahead and replace it anyway.

Better to be lucky than good any day. (Even better if you can be both.)

Well it did help a little. The temp guage goes a little past the middle white line just enough to cover it all. Once I turn the engine off and on it goes back to a little below the white line.

Car is challenging me RAWR:mad:

Can't wait until I receive Mr Actuator so I can replace it.;)
