The Peanut Gallery
pointless thread but just a thought.
So on my 5 hour journey back home for the holiday weekend I decided to rename my car "The Think Tank".
While I was in there I came up with this idea.
I don't know how many of you smoke in your cars, I sure as hell don't smoke nor let anyone in the car do so. So to the ashtray is wasted space, and in that case so are the power ports and cigarette lighter. (If I need one I'll use the one in the center counsel) Just thought when I go to do my double din, money permitting, I know where I'm running the ipod cable. I set my EVO in there and it sit nicely except with the Otterbox it is way too big but I think an ipod will fit nicely and conceal it better than throwing it in the glovebox or the center counsel. Push the ashtray and BAM! out slides an ipod.
Also, I'm not to sure but on our '72 Mercury (Creme Puff Yellow, black top, black vinyl interior, 8-track player, and 460 cubes of stock raped ape power beneath the hood to get a picture in your head) my dad wired a switch to it that was hidden that killed the power. I don't know if cut out the battery, the starter, the fuel pump, or what but it was a pretty much a kill switch.
Has anyone taken their car safety to this extreme to install one in their LS? I'm not going to for obvious lack of technical know how but it might be something for you cool cats to try out.
Harass me if you must but this is what I was thinking about.
