This tops it all!!!!!!!

I am at the Bush speech in Milwaukee. Bush announces Clinton heart ailment asks the nation to pray for him. The crowd cheers in agreement.

The Associated Press post a report worldwide that says that the Milwaukee jeered and booed and that Bush did nothing to stop them. Absolutely outrageous. I was there.

The media makes me sick to my stomach.

Want proof! Go to the Drudge site who reported it and review on the home page for the supposed retraction they put up. There is a link to an audio clip that clearly shows the crowd supported President Clinton in his time of need.

These people are plain sick.

I am sure that makes it all right for everybody. Here's my point.

Why was an out-and-out lie perpetrated in the 1st place?
What is wrong with the media in this country that they have to take every event that occurs and twist it to make the left look better?

People in Milwaukee are trying to find out the AP guys name. He needs his life to be destroyed because he is a POS. He made everybody in Milwaukee look bad when it is the exact opposite of how people should view us. We were a class act and this guy took advantage and slimed all of us for what? To make Kerry look better in the eyes of the voters because Bush supposedly didn't do anything to stop the booing. When there wasn't a single boo in the crowd of 15,000.

I find it curious that every major media source immediately threw it up there for all to see, and yet, they leave it up there even though they know it isn't true.

The media will stop at nothing to make this administration look bad. I can only wait for election day (flashback to 1994) when they saw the good people of our country go to the polls and put down the Clinton health-care revolution. Hopefully I'll get to see all their faces and expressions on election day as their self-confessed war criminal also goes down in flames.

I cant imagine why - even though some journalists might lean democratic in how they spin a story sometimes, I cant imagine an out n out inaccuracy like you described and I find it to be reprehensible.

I don't defend their actions, but to just paint all media as liberal is not a good way to get your point across. Saying things like "The damn liberal media!!!!" just puts a sour taste in my mouth.

I understand your point, but walk a mile in my political shoes.

Here is a perfect example and I can produce one of these every single day.

I watched CNN play to spots from Bush and Kerry on the news tonight when they spoke today about President Clinton's health problem. CNN started with Bush saying he wished Clinton a quick recovery and then cut away quickly. Total time, maybe 5 seconds. Then they showed Kerry say the same thing but this time they stayed with Kerry to show the crowd clapping. Probably 15 second cut.

The obvious attempted result, show that the conservatives are mean people while the liberals are compassionate. The real truth is that the conservatives showed great sympathy for a man that many detested as President but not as a man.

So why does the media need to constantly spin? Because if they don't, the liberals lose the argument because the majority of Americans are conservative in the way they live their lives.

You could be looking too much into things. The media relies on sources and sources are human. Being human they can make mistakes. I tend not to believe in the great liberal media debocle. Its all where you get it and what you take away. If i take the 700 club for their word I do not think i would be a very knowledgeable voter. They tend to act like they are instructing their minions of chrisitians to believe what they believe in. You take their opinion and their backup information and ponder, then decide what you believe. All media can be biased, depends on who is doing the funding after all. Thats why i stick with public broadcasting. LOL

If you spend more time worrying about the delievery, vs the information being delivered i guaruntee you will never be satisfied.

I gave you that one for free. Or do you hate me, too?

No hating here :L

This is what makes me proud to be an American. And we're on the same side of the Lincoln vs Cadillac debate.

As I mentioned in another stream, THANK GOD I'M A LIBERTARIAN! I get so sick and tired of hearing how HORRIBLE each other political party is. To the conservatives the liberals are a bunch of lying, backstabbing fish excrement.(think about it.) And to the liberals the conservatives are a bunch of hating,war-mongering,racist scum.(I'm in Georgia, remember) WHAT THE HELL EVER HAPPENED TO LIVE AND LET LIVE?!? Is that not what our people died for over the past 230+years? FREEDOM TO LIVE AS YOU CHOOSE? Sadly, our current form of politics are turning into nothing more than an overbloated form of fraternity pledge week antics on a much grander scale. Finally, I must admit that this SCARES ME TO DEATH! Do we not have more in life to be concerned with than issues like same-sex marriges, who said what to insult who,or who the next brand-name cola sponsored pop idol is? If I'm wrong, is it not my freedom to be wrong, do I at least have that? Or is that politically incorrect, too?

Bush gets there "the firstest with the mostest". Sounds good to me.

You do have that right. But if one is indeed wrong, be prepared to hear the right side figuratively speaking.

Because the Democratic Party was highjacked by the extreme left with the support of the mainstream media, a cultural divide was only natural. Unfortunately, many still cling to the notion that voting for the guy with the (D) next to their name, or (R) for that matter is all that matters. The 2004 election makes this so painfully obvious. People don't care who John Kerry is. If they did, he might only garner the 10% of the vote that represents the extreme left in this country.

That's the log and short of it. The republican party today is very much like the democratic party of the sixties while todays democratic party is similar to the socialist party of the fifties. Barry Goldwater's rolling over in his grave.
Vote the person, not the party, not the press trash, not the clothes he wears (yes, people vote for candidates because they like their ties!)
