The LS... In a video game? wuuuuuuut?

Yup. in NFS HP2. Was playin this earlier and one of the traffic cars caught my eye as I flew by, so I paused the game right when I caught up to the next one, and sure enough, there's a big ol' Lincoln emblem on the grille!

So I went diggin around in the car files for the game and dropped the skin into the file for the Aston Martin Vanquish V12.
Its not quite right, but its still cool!

Yeah its for PC. Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2.
I copied the entire game onto my hard drive a couple years ago and forgot about it. I don't remember exactly what I had to do to make it work, but I can run the game straight off the hard drive and don't need the CD for it.

But anyway, I made a backup of the Vanq folder and then copied the skin.viv, car.viv, and animbank.o files from the Tsedan1 folder into the Vanq folder and replaced the ones that were already there. You can do the same with any other car I would imagine. I just chose the Aston because I figured the handling would be the closest to a real LS. The colors arent quite right, and the tires stick into the ground because the skin doesn't quite match up with the ride height of the Aston. I figure ill toy around with it some later on and see if I can get it all to work right.

And those wheels are straight off a Chevy Caprice, but they do have a Lincoln emblem in the middle.

Id like to find some 3d editing software and try to shape it up a little. Add a little more detail to it and try to fix the lights and all that. Maybe give it clear corners and an LSE treatment.
