Your imagination
My Alpine changer finally wheezed it's last breath after I have been flogging it with CD-R's for over a year. I have a wholesale connection for clarion equipment and got this CZ309. It's not top of the line by any standards, but it replaces the factory head unit very well. Sounds much better and I now have more media options. The steering wheel controls are kind of laggy but its nothing I can't get used to. I used a PAC Audio swi-jack. My only complaint is that the deck illumination is blue and kinda bright at night. But all things considered I am very pleased.

I'll probably have it apart a few more times tweaking the fit. It looks kind of crooked right now.

This is a good example for anyone considering a single DIN swap

does the radio have an illumination wire, if so the wire in the harness wont work, you need to run a wire from one of the wires at the light in the ash tray (the positive wire) that way when the headlights are on the radio will dim a little bit so that it is not so bright at night

did that dash kit come with its own trim ring and some snap in iso mounts, if so i would epoxy the trim ring and the iso mounts into the dash kit, then you can just bolt the radio into the dash kit instead of using the cage, it usually makes the install look a lot cleaner and closer to factory, plus the trim ring that comes with the dash kit usually makes the radio fit a lot better with smaller gaps

I have the illumination wire tapped into the little light for the ashtray. It does dim a little bit.

The ISO brackets snap into the kit once they are mounted on the radio. I have the screws. I'll have to look into doing it that way. I agree it would be a much tighter fit. I'll see if I can make that trim ring work. (I did get one with the kit.) I couldn't get it to snap in using the DIN sleeve but maybe it will work with the ISO brackets.

Thanks for your input.

yea, the trim ring (one that came with thwe dash kit) wont snap on with the cage in there, i usually dont like the "snap" in ISO brackets, because they will snap out when you hit a big bump, thats why i always epoxy my kits together. the ISO brackets will also center the radio so you wont have to worry about it being a little crooked

dammit. I read the title, and thought someone went office space fax machine on their cd changer.

PC Load Letter? What the f*ck does that mean?

why does it say paper jam, when there is no paper jam!

naga, nagaha, na gonna to work here anymore!

why should i change my name, it was fine until that no talent a$$ clown started winning grammys

Hahaha! Nice reference.

It's a question of motivation Bob, It's not that I'm lazy, it's that I just don't care!

I'd do that and take pics if I didn't feel the need to be able to return my car to stock easily at any time.
