temp problem fixed? thermostat?

hey guys,

i think i may have fixed my temperature problem now, but the guy i took lucy too put in a new thermostat to help fix it. he said he put a 195 degree thermostat in her..... is that what comes factory on the mark? my temp. gauge on my dash reads in the normal but around the top of the "M" to just about to the top of the "R"...... before all these troubles she would run down around the "A" on the dash gauge... even if i was puttin the pedal to the metal a little. ... obviously when I drove her hard up to high speeds the temp gauge would rise in to the "M" at most but that was it.

that is the stock thermostat temp..and is perfectly fine for a stock car.
mid way up the guage is about 200 degree's, sounds like your right in the ball park.

yea, it's probably still running a little warm for my liking...... but o'well, i think in can tinker with that. now, i can just , when there's pressure built up of course, loosen the top fill cap on the system and check to see if any air comes out? that might cool her down a little bit more?
