System Upgrade Help!!

Where is the factory amp located in a 97 lsc?...I have the jbl system but I am trying to put all new speakers in and a sub in the trunk. I have a 1000 watt sony amp and need some instructions on how to hook it up to my head unit with the factory amp installed. I already purchased the rca adapter, but cant figure out how to hook it up to the head unit...It has a brown wire that I have no idea where it goes...Can someone help me please, I need to know how u all hooked ur subs and amp up to ur factory head unit...Thanks alot

factory amps sucks one wrong move and it's dead

I consider running a new amp for the interior speakers with a rca in/out option on it to run that to the Sub Amp

On a gen 1 the amp is in the trunk lay on your back in the trunk and look stright up.
I think its in the same spot on a gen 2

Do yourself a favor give up using anything from the factory and rewire the whole mess.
You will save in the long run.
It will sound 10x better then anything stock.

thats where i put both my mtx amps at kid!

+100 gut it and start over the stock sys is a nightmare, and way past its prime.

I don't like the tray... it's just kinda flimsy IMO... and it rattles!
