Sweating HID Housing

I got these HID housings pretty cheap. The passenger side is carrying condensation. I've cleaned the housing, but the condensation comes back. There are small holes in the fiberglass in the rear of the housing. I am thinking I need to recoat the housing. Could this be the reason?

make shure there are no holes and on gen 2 their are small vents little short hose if you have them make shure their in working order

The gen 1 housings should have vent holes? Or should they be air tight?

This condensation thing is really got me stumpped. I took the housing out to try to pinpoint where it is happening. I cannot figure it out. I filled the housing up with water to check for leaks. I am not seeing none. Take a look at the various pics and give me some ideas.

Could you plug the holes for the bulbs, or just put the bulbs back in the housings except for the low beam And put some compressed air in there? Maybe find a piece of rubber or a rag to put around the air chuck so it will hold a little pressure while someone sprays a soapy solution on the outside of the housings & checks for air bubbles! Or maybe tape off the lenses and spray the entire housing with some type of rubberized undercoating? Make sure to leave the vent open though!

Also what about the o rings or seals to seal the bulbs in? I'm sure you already checked this though.

Actually I haven't checked the oring on the hid bulb. I am however going to take the housing to work and bake it in our instrument oven, and replace the oring as well. I am determined to fix this problem.

Temporarily cover the vent holes, fill a laundry tub with water and place upside down - look for escaping air bubbles. not as good as pressurizing but pretty fast and easy.

are all of those cracks sealed 100%? if they are not that can very well be the source of your condensation build up.
