swapping doors..help please

ok i bought a whole new door for the ls instead of getting it repaired. do i need a new key or reprogram the door or it will swap and work fine? the door is from another lincoln ls 2002 sport v8 just like mine.

I would think that the door should work fine. The lock is probably actuated by a signal from the computer and that's still the same...

ok thanks im going to mount it now. the thing that kind of startled me was the door said lOCK A and the new door said LOCK N

how do i remove the black main cable running through the door into the car? you see it when u open the door look between the hinges.

good luck with that.. it's going to be way harder than it looks.. when this happened to me i just fixed the door..

ok i got the cable off what a pain man. i had to take off more off the door to get there. now im going to but the new door on and try to run the cable through the same way i took it off. hard trying to do this balancing a 90 pound door haha

go figure the key does not work so i have to change the locks. does anyone know how to change it or its difficulty? im really starting to hate that door
