Swapped out motor questions

I have a 01 v8 motor blown swapped it out with a 02 motor. I need to find out if I need the computer for the 02 to swap with my 01 . If so does any one have a computer for a 02 motor

No, an 01 PCM will run an 02 engine just fine, both are 1st gen.
1st gen: 2000 - 2002
2nd gen: 2003 - 2006

Thank you very much that's what I was hoping to hear. Hopefully soon my baby will be back on the road again. This time I won't be so mean to her.
