If you can find a Bilstein part number for the Jag S-Type, they might fit the LS as well--the suspension is a shared component among the DEW-98 cars, but it's tuned differently on the Jags, so it depends on what they "tuned" for the S-Type.
As far as LS-specific shocks go, you're pretty much limited to the three OEM shocks (Non-Sport, Sport, and Euro). There are Monroes, but, as mentioned above, the few who've tried them have been almost universally disappointed with them (ls4me called them "Sensacraps"). Leda used to make shocks for the LS, but Ken no longer carries them, and I think he said they're no longer available.
I'd get them from Team Ford or LS Koncepts (see their banner ads on the right side of the forum). As far as the price goes, I don't know, I haven't priced them recently.2. how much are the stock ones? and where do you get them from? (Non-Sport, Sport, and Euro)?
Two things:
1. I know a shop in fort lauderdale where they specialized in exotic cars including jaguars. I'll stop by one weekend and I will see what i can find for the LS.
2. how much are the stock ones? and where do you get them from? (Non-Sport, Sport, and Euro)?
Thanks for the info.
I would do that. one thing is that a few people are look to see if the adjustable coilovers for the Jag fits the LS. Going and talking to those people with the LS at hand will help out lots with this!
ditto! i'll come back with news this weekend.![]()
