so i finally got that bolt out, alot of hammering did the trick. now my new question is since im converting over to coil overs what do i do with the height sensor and solenoid? do i just cut them off or is something more to it? and how much work is it to take the compressor out? it works so i was planning on selling it but if it would not be worth all the work then ill just leave it in

Remove it all and sell it unless you think you will be going back to air ride anytime. When i converted mine 4 or 5 years ago i sold all my air ride stuff and payed for the whole conversion.

You can remove everything for the air ride and cut the green wire for the warning...the heighth sensors are an easy unplug and 1 10mm bolt holds those on to the bracket ...I took all mine off and gave them to laser..I suggest coil pads on the springs..mine make noise and I wish I had those on there

So do mine, and it's driving me nuts.

What are these coil pads of which you speak?

The compressor is sortof a pita, but it's not hard once you get the silencer out.

But the bolts on the silencer are prolly rusted, so you'll have to either cut the bolts or chisel the heads off.......

Once you do that, it's just four bolts, and it pops right out. If you aren't going to ever go back to air, take all of that stuff off and sell it. :)

I have a pair of poly isolators I no loner need. PM me if you want them.

so how much noise would they make without isolators and would all i need is a set of isolators for them to be quiet

so i just went out and tried to get the front struts in and the bolts are not matching up. if i line up the bolts on the top the lower holes don't match and if i line it up on the bottom the top doesn't match. i called strutmasters and the guy said to just turn it well i did and it didn't seem like it was moving at all, is there a special tool that i need or is just keep prying at it and it will come. any help would be greatly appreciated

Same thing happened to me. Take a pipe wrench and gently pull the strut bottom around until the holes line up.

Let me edit this: Put the top in first, and hand tighten the bolts.

Then put the wrench on the bottom of the strut and twist it around until the bolt lines up in the holes. Make sure you have the jack under the LCA to raise the hole up high enough.
Piece of cake once you do it. :)
