I will be finally fixing my car sometime next month.
I took a quick look under my car and everything thats rubber is messed up. I wanna do a complete overhaul but I dont know all the parts I'll need nor where to buy them.
I will put Euro shocks all around and whichever springs that lowers the LS the most, I think Sprint Springs are the ones.

As far as Ive seen under my car I need 8 ball joints, 4 sway bar links and 4 sway bar bushings.

The control arms bushings are messed up too but I cant find them anywhere.

Please guys I need help before the money shows up !!:D

Well I just did my 2000 LS V8 last week and I pretty much had the same problems as you and a lot of others on here. I replaced the inner and outer tie rod ends all around, the upper control arms all around, the lower control arms in the front (back getting replaced in a week), stabilizer links in the front(back in a week), struts and springs.

Good luck on finding euro shocks, you are probably going to get "premium" which is the replacement for sport and euro. If you are going from base shocks to premium don't forget to change your sway bars, there are two level; base and sport, they are tuned together.

As far as I know LS Koncepts still sells the euros.

Ive found them on a ford dealer for 87.40 each.

Du I have to replace the control arm??? All I need is the bushings !! I cant replace them myself! Dont tell me nobody sells them :(
How much did u spend so far?? Which struts did u get ??

I own a 00 5spd Sport. I wanna get those red sway bar bushings, euros, and sprint springs if I can find them.

Ive seen the ball joints on ebay... the LS has 8 in total, am I right ?? are they all the same? cause all listed on ebay are lower control arm ball joints.

im pretty sure they are the same, they look the same, and yes theres 8, 2 at each corner

There are 8 ball joints but I dont think the uppers and lowers are the same size, I just had mine fronts changed the other day and the uppers look alot smaller than the lowers.

I didn't get the uppers, I am pretty sure you have to get the whole arm for that. I only had the lowers changed and noticed that the uppers will need to be changed soon.

The upper and lower ball joints are different sizes and you can only get the upper as a complete unit but they cost under $100. I am in the process of doing the same thing. already replaced the sway bar bushings and links. Now I just have to finish gathering all the other parts... shocks/struts, upper control arm, lower ball joints, and inner/outer tie rod ends. it is easier to do it in 2 series so you don't have to pay for more than one alignment.

I will have to do it all at once. This is my only car, and I can use the garage my dad works in but I have to do it in one day, like a saturday.. they close at 12 and I can use everything after that. but cant leave the car there.

Where r u buying the uppers ?? Do u mean I have to replace the control arm ?
R u replacing springs as well ?? What shocks r y going with ??

Ok then, so far the parts I will need are:

Shocks
Springs
Front sway bar bushings and links
Rear sway bar bushings and links
4 lower ball joints
4 upper control arms
4 tie rods ends

Am I missing something ??

The best shocks to go with are the factory shocks. I just priced them at parts.com for my car and they are cheaper than TeamFord and LSkoncepts. You can go to engergysupension.com and get the sway bar bushing. Depending on what supsension you have, base or sport will determine the size. This is where I got mine and it will behoove you to get the greasable set. If look at the diaghram on Parts.com, they break the whole suspension down into every little part. Now for the rest of the bushings, to my knowledge, no one has replaced a lot of them. So you will have to take them off, measure them and find a replacement if you don't won't to buy new control arms etc. I would take them off and measure them, then go to energysuspension.com to see if you can find the correct size. So if you plan on replacing all of the bushings, I would not go back with rubber bushings, I would reccomend going with polyrethane. If you do, please share that information. I know a lot of us have been wanting to replace the bushings in the supspension system but I don't think no one has really tore it apart and measured all the bushings for sizes. See the attached thread for the swaybar bushing: http://www.lincolnvscadillac.com/showthread.php?t=44894&highlight=swaybar+bushings

Dang Ive tried to find that thread 100 times and couldnt and now I just found the poster :D
Dude, u replaced the fronts only, right? or did the rears as well?? Do u know if they r the same as fronts??
I want the euro shocks rather than any non factory ones. After searching and searching on google for some coil overs with no luck I guess my best option r them.
I wonder how hard it'll be to custom install full race coil overs, and how much money it'll take.
About polyurethane bushings.. to me a must !!

Im definitely down for tearing it all apart to find the right polyurethane bushings for everything. Anyone around Miami wanna drop me a hand?? I'd do with my dad as well but I could still use some help... Plus I never rode an auto LS, in fact, my 5spd LS is the only LS Ive ever drove.

energysuspension offers "Performance Polyurethane End Link Set, Grommets and Washer Set".. I dont know if they'll work for us thought.

Now Ive heard the thicker the sway bar is, the less sway u get while turning fast, am I right? Cause if this is correct I think it shouldnt be hard to custom build one.

Yes I've only replaced the fronts. Haven't had any problems with the rear yet. For the coil overs, that topic has been covered also. A member even email one the major companies and they said they don't make any for the LS. So your only way is to swap out the springs but I don't know your wheel situation. Are you riding factory, 20's or what. If you are talking about going with the euros shocks with sprint springs, it's going to be a harsh ride. The euros shocks are stiffer than the sport. I'm quite sure others who have sprint springs can chime in with their input. Good luck with the tear down though, that information will help a lot of people who want to replace the busings in the their suspension system.

My car is bone stock, the only "mod" is a K&N replacement filter, not the cone, but the one that goes right into the oem airbox.
Have anyone seen a picture of the sway bars ?? I know some ppl who build custom parts for off road cars, and I wanna discuss with them the idea of custom sway bars. They r serious mechanics, they even build carbon drive shafts, control arms, they do whatever u want with carbon fiber, aluminum, etc etc.
About the car getting stiffer, its what Im looking for :D

Im looking for sprint springs online, the best price I could find was $213 + $35shipping.
Have anyone seen them cheapier somewhere??
