does anyone know if you can possibly supercharge the 32 valve v8 in the mk8? i know id probably have to cut a hole in the hood, but im not sure if i need to have certain bolt mounts from factory to be on it. I know the 00' mustang comes ready to take a supercharger...im pretty sure it has certain mounting spots and everything...? any suggestions,..comments?

thanks

A vortech S-trim for a 96-98 Cobra bolts right up. The vortech website is very helpful, also the SEARCH function of this forum will give you answers you are looking for.

if you have a 2nd gen intake or cobra intake. with a 1g intake itll be very difficult making a pipe that will work with it.

any words about the kenne bell 2.2l kit.maybe it is discountinued-im not too sure.this might be the way to go.it has the lower intake already there, all u need is a cobra cold air kit and newer throttle.it also might be better because of the low end response which is of course needed for the heavy mark.i have owned 2 vortechs on 351's and i like them but the marks need that kick down low.unless you go with 4:30's or a 4000stall.

go to streetfire.net there are a couple of videos of supercharged MKVIIIs, and youtube has some as well. I want the 03/04 cobra set-up my self, I just love that root style whine.

From what Ive read on here, I was under the impression that there is no kit that is a direct bolt-up for the Mark. Is this correct?

Which kit(s) requires the least amount of modification?
