So today I tried to open my sunroof and I heard a pop and now it won't open or even tilt up. I can hear the motor going and a track slides back. I'm assuming that track is supposed to hook onto the sunroof but I don't know where. Anybody have a diagram on where that hooks onto?

I don't have it handy but there is an LS pdf out here somewhere that may have what you need. Anyone?

Yeah like I said I know it's not the motor because the little pin moves back and forth but it just needs to be put back into the sunroof.

I know Renzo has an active thread where he just printed the service manual for gen 1's. Maybe he can scan something and email it to u. Just a thought.

Wait the LS sun roof tilts up?!

You didnt know?

Just push in the button and it tilts up, push it back slides it open and forward closes it. Also if you walk up to the car and turn the into the keylock and hold it all the windows and sunroof open. opposite direction closes them.

Lol all of that was a little to advanced for me. I know what the problem is but I just can't figure out how to fix

Wow I feel dumb. I swear I learn something new about that car damn near every week.

There's an owner's manual. If you don't have a printed one in your glove box, you can download a PDF from the Lincoln owner's site or from here. It's not a big book. It's worth reading all the way through at least once. After all, a car is often one's second biggest property investment.

Well I've tried and tried to mess with this thing and I can't seem to get it. Would anyone be interested in taking off their moonroof glass by the 4 screws and taking a few pictures of the track mechanism because I need to see how the pins slide into the roof.
