Hi all, Ive been reading the forum for a while now but I dont post often. I have an 05 Ls sport. Ive been having engine problems for 8 months now and have decided to replace motor with a rebuilt long block. comes with a 2 year warranty parts and labor. Mechanic will replace any other parts free of charge if I supply them. I have purchased new alternator, starter, coil packs, power steering pump, belt, and all plastic parts of the radiator system. So Im asking for help, does anyone have any suggestions of other parts I should replace when I have the motor out that would maybe be hard to get to otherwise? Or maybe just something I have forgotten?

2nd question, different topic, I purchased this car used in 09. the previous owner had already changed the hubs. I have searched this forum to find out what they might be but I am still unsure, It seems that there are different possibilities. Maybe Im wrong and just didnt look hard enough. Does anyone have a good Idea of what they might be or should I just take the car to a ford dealership and have them figure it out?

Thanks in advance for any help on these two issues.

All coolant hoses comes to mind.

The wheels are bolted to the wheel hubs. Remove the wheels, and there they are.

hoses are getting replaced too, thanks for that. To be clear as far as the hubs go, The hubs on my car are not Lincoln ls hubs (at least I dont think they are) they came off something else. The bolt pattern is different, the same as an 03 mustang (not sure what it is) I found this out last year when I replaced the rotors and pads, I used LS rotors but they had to have a different bolt pattern drilled at a shop. So, I dont think these are the right ones, any ideas? Thanks again for your help

So, your spare tire doesn't fit (or is that non Lincoln LS too)?

correct, donut in trunk doesnt fit, luckily never needed it. Im planning on getting a replacement once the new motor is in but im trying to decide first if I need to go back to original hubs and get new rims. Or does anyone know what hubs the previous owner might have used. As far as I can tell only the hubs are different. The pads and rotors are ls parts.

Wait, that doesn't fit. Pads I can understand, but I thought you said you had to drill extra holes in the rotors to make them fit. If the rotors are LS parts, then the wheels (including the spare) would have to be LS parts too (and would fit).
Was that in error?

BTW, what happened to the engine? I've hardly heard of any gen II V8 replacements being needed?

correct, I had to redrill the new bolt pattern into the rotors, when i did that they went on and lined up with the calipers and pads. the rotors I purchased were the correct ones for the LS. The rims look like the ones in this link.http://www.allfactorywheels.com/product_images/s/062/3448SSSWM__83506_zoom.jpg
Thats why Im so confused, I was just outside looking behind the driver wheels and noticed the hubs appear to have been drilled and had a new bolt pattern installed on the original hubs. I guess this is the only explanation for why everything else fits. That being said my traction control seems not to be working, anyone know if the sensor can be replaced without the whole hub or do I have to replace hub?

Which do you have traction control (spinning tire symbol) or AdvanceTrac (swerving car symbol)?
Is your ABS light on too, or is it just the AdvanceTrac light?

If the ABS light is not on, it's not a wheel speed sensor, it's the YAW sensor, the steering angle sensor, or a module configuration issue.

Ether way, you need to get it scanned to see what the problem is.
