Well I successfully completed the swap from an 8.0 carrier to an 8.8 Trac Lok into the stock 8.0 casing and switched the gears set to 3.58 from the 3.31. It took a little longer than i had planned but i wanted to be sure it was done right. I feel pretty good about and in fact it's quieter than my factory diff was. Very smooth, no vibrations or shaking! I'm a happy camper! I will post some pics later on or tomorrow. I'd like to thank Quik, Pektel, and everyone else who offered information throughout this for me. Couldn't have down it right without you guys!

You're welcome. Sorry I didn't get back to you on the torque specs. I searched high and low and can't find my shop manuals.

Some of the ones during the tear down didn't turn out so well. these are some of the better ones.

How do the 3.58 gears feel? I've heard a lot of people say that there wouldn't be much of a difference from 3.31 to 3.58.

You know I really didnt think I would be able to notice the different but with the Trac Lok carrier in there I swear to you I get a much better jump off the line, harder pull on acceleration, and much better control going into and coming out of corners.
