Brought the Mark home last weekend and decided I wanted my trunk back.
I had two really nice Infinty 1062's in bandbass boxes that I built, ported through the rear deck. It sounded great but took up alot of space in the trunk. Not to mention when I built it I did it like I used to when I built cars for SPL competitions, full 1 inch high density MDF. The two boxes (the only way I could get them to fit in the trunk opening) weighed 240lbs.

I ripped everything out and started over with the two 10's, rebuilt the amp rack and did a full fiberglass enclosure for the subs, rebuilt the rear deck so it looks stock again. Subs fire right through the rear deck and enclosure is only 5.75" tall, its down just a little lower than the factory cover for the amp tray.
Still sounds great, just not as smooth as the bandpass.

looks very nice!
i had to look for a second to even find the box.

ps. i love that color and those wheels.

New box only weighs in at 35lbs with the subs in it. 26 of that is the subs.

What subs? Its not that bad to do, fiber glass is about double the cost of wood; but it sure does save on the weight.

damn i love those wheels! are they in the Mk bolt pattern, or have you hub swapped? also the back set looks to have more of a lip then the fronts... or is that just me?

The wheels are our bolt pattern. I got them from Brad at the custom wheel shop.
The rear wheel do have a lip. I'll take a picture of them in a bit.

fronts and rears
fronts are 245/45/18
Rears are 275/40/18
with the other boxes at least I had traction, now not so much...:shifty:
