Let me start by saying I did search but didn't find what I was looking for. I got my new struts from American air today so you know what Im doing this weekend. What Im not sure of is how to remove the air lines from the solenoids or the solenoids from the strut. I dont want to break anything extra so any pointers would be appreciated. Thanks.

Take the air line and push it in towards the solenoind while pushing in on the orange ring at the same time, then while holding the orange ring down pull the air line out.

To take the solenoid out you want to make sure the struts are empty or close to empty, then take the metal clip out and just turn counter clockwise and they pop right out.

Make sure to put the new orings on the solenoids before putting them in the new bags and get them seated all the way in!

Thanks for the help I appreciate it. And I do have new O Rings.

You may want to lube the o-rings and make sure they go in all the way.

But if I remember right you don't have to take the solenoid lines out to change the air bag. Only if you want to work on the solenoid. Solenoid should come out after the second twist after all the air is released.

Leave the lines attached if you can as they can be twitchy to get back together without a leak. Just be sure you replace and lube the "O" rings as mentioned above.

Note also that if your solenoids have yellow looking pices of foam on the ends (marshmellows), you will need to take a sharpe knife and trim off the plastic cage that held them. This is neccessary to get the old solenoids back into the new bags (makes the stem about 3/16" shorter).
