Howdy,

Well I had noticed that my radio stations would dim out if I went certain places and I figured "oh its just me getting too far away from the tower." I continued to think this till I took my 97 Regal GS out to take some pictures of it for its online ad and guess what, it picks them up great! Since this I've been paying more attention to the radio and I've found it works fine when cold or atleast when its just been turned on but say this morning at 32ºF it worked fine for 15min then... zzzzzzz I loose all the stations except for the most powerful. Anyone else noticed this about thier base radio? I don't want to get an aftermarket because I love the steering wheel controls and even with the PAC-X box they just don't work the same. Could my antenna, which by the way I have no idea where it is, have been damaged or the connector come loose? Might the head unit be damaged since it also spits out my CD's extremely hot even if they have not been played?

Commentary please,

Do you have metallized-film window tinting? It could be messing with your reception (antenna is in the back glass)

Also check the connection, they are known to break. The connector is on the left rear side of the rear window.
