My head unit got ripped off so i put the stock one back in and figured I could use my mp3 power to play music through the tap player (the reception sucks and dont wanna shell out 80 bucks right now for a good one, ide rather just get another head unit at that).

Heres what it does:

1. When I put the cassette adapter in it plays side 1 sounds good, then switches to side 2, then spits it out.

2. It plays regular tapes perfect.

3. I tried another one I had laying around, they both work and do the same thing spitting the tapes out.

4. Both The little cog looking things in the adapter itself spin in tandem as well. Is there certain cassette adapters for Lincolns or something lol?

5. The adapter works in my moms buick and my jeep cherokee.

check if the wire isn't hanging the adapter. When it's playing side 1, take your index finger and push down on the adapter, close to where the wire comes out. If that don't work, go get a FM modulator.

You have that big @ss stereo and are using an adapter to play music? Come on now. Spend $99 at best buy and buy a head unit thats not 15 years old.

na i sold the system, too heavy.... and i just want something in the interim. Not sure if im going to keep the car that much. Might sell it... I got another and marks showing its age.

i dunno its just weird that it plays tapes just fine? no problems at all.. but this is iffy with adapaters. I thought maybe only certain kind of adapters worked.
