Still Seeking Conclusion to Cold Start Rattle Isse

My 03LSV8 still has the "rattle can" sound at cold startup, only for a few seconds, is all good otherwise. Scares women and small children but harmless otherwise. It's not on the front of the engine, it's not upper tensioners, it's not oil or filter choices, it's not the starter.
I see all the threads listed below end without anyone ever saying, "I've permanently solved the startup rattle."
BigWayner? Telco? Bueller? Anyone?
