Hey everyone,

2004 V8 approx. 146k. I got kind of a strange issue that I found no similar issues in a search. Occasionally, (around 30-50% of the time) when I start the car, in the second or two that the starter is going before it fires up, my steering wheel column will look like it is going crazy. It looks like someone is pushing the tilt switch up and down very rapidly, so the steering wheel moves up and down about 4 or 5 times before the engine itself is running. Once the engine goes, then it returns to its normal position and stays put. It only really goes from where I always have it, which is at the top (I'm a bigger guy and the only driver of the car) to about 1/4 of the full cycle before it goes back up again. I have only really noticed this for about a month or 2 and it hasn't really gotten any worse in its aggressiveness or frequency since I noticed it. Is this something that I should be concerned about and do you have any possible fixes? To me, it sounds like a wiring issue, but I definitely could be wrong on that too. Let me know what you guys think.

Thanks
