I have searched and searched and can't seen to find out anything other than there are two calibrations of spring. I think I can at least reduce my vibration/shimmy with the 30# spring.

For those of you that have done this, do you have the p/n for the spring and a simple how-to?

Thanks.

I'm pretty sure this spring, wherever it lives, will cure my shimmy. The shimmy/nibble appears to only occur between 70ish and 80.

I have looked at my steering column quite few times and don't remember seeing a spring intergrated into the column. Is it inside the column itself?

I had Ford change out the column about a few months ago and it did help with the steering wheel vibration and the clunking it used to make whenever i would cut the wheel left and right.

Hopefully someone can chime in more on the spring.
