Steering column help please

Can anyone identify this broken part? I dont know what it does but seems like maybe something to do with the steering wheel tilting and retraction.

its a 04 V8, I have it figured out, once I got it all back together. I noticed my stering wheel can come out really far and go back feally far as well as very low and high. This is somekind of steering wheel control switch to limit how far up, down, left and right the wheel should be able to adjust. Thanks.

Sweet finde. So if I read this right if you unplug it the steering wheel will extend furhter and lower?

Well mine broke, there is a small circuit board in this housing that broke on my car, but Im sure if you unplug it, it may work as well. You have to be careful, the steering wheel can come out pretty far and possibly overextend some of the wiring in there.
