Maybe a dumb question, but do the rear brakes squeak?

Here's what happened...

I got my brakes replaced,...My Dad did the job(never thought me to work on cars:Bang ) anyway, i wasnt able to find any Bosch brakes like many of you recommended.
So i got the best ceramic brakes that the Autoparts store had. I also took the rotors in to get cut....or whatever they do to them.

Anyway, my DAd decided that my rear brakes needed to get replaced so he went ahead and bought the cheapest metallic pads and put them in.

So i have decent(i hope) ceramic pads in the front and cheap metallic ones in the back.

But after about 3 days of quiet ride....i have a very ANNOYING SQUEAL when i brake

So i guess my question is...

Could the front brake pads still squeal after being new and getting the rotors cut?

Is there rear rotors that also should have been taken in?...

I know it's not like you guys could tell me where the squeal is coming from...but maybe you can point me in the right direction as what i should look for to fix this....since i cant tell where it's coming from.

Brake squeal is caused by vibration. I would suspect the rear brakes in this case. Yes, a proper brake job would require just what you did on the fronts done on the rears too. I also would have stayed with the same pads all the way around. You have now changed the braking dynamics of the vehicle. The weight distribution on this car is nearly 50/50...so the rears do a lot of braking. First thing I would do is re-do the rears with the same pads as the front and turn the rotors. Replace the hardware. Follow the manufacturers recommendations to a T to properly bed in the pads and rotors. That should take care of your squeaking issues.
