sputtering problem

hey guys, sometimes when i crank my car after i have driven it for a few minutes, it sputters and sometimes it cuts off. after a couple of minutes its ok. when it starts to sputter and you have it in drive and push the gas, it bucks back and forth for a few seconds. i've replaced the spark plugs, wires, both o2s, air and fuel filters. nothing has helped. the check engine light has not come on at any time. its driving me crazy!

Fuel pressure regulator? Vacuum leak?

i was thinking about changing the coils or the egr valve but i don't want to spend money on something that doesn't need to be replaced if its not the problem.

well as far as fuel pressure, the car drives great afterwards i wouldn't think it would be that. i haven't noticed any vaccum leaks.

I'd do a Seafoam clean out ($7.00 investment). If that doesn't help it then I would suspect the IAC valve needs replacing.

wouldn't the rpm's surge up and down if the IAC was bad?

not usually "surge" but sometimes they would be high, and usually be to low to idle. sounds like fuel psi, but also wondering if the crank position sensor is on the fritz

Extend Vacum hose that commects to PCV and put into Seafoam Can. Follow instructions on Seafoam can.

Do You have the engine covers off or on once i took all my covers off i would get a very rough idle have to bring the rpm up to keep running when i put them back on problem went away...

i've had them on and off with no difference. i just ran some seafoam through but it didn't help.
