as some of you know I was having some car issues, well I hade a P0102 code so I replaced the MAF. It seemed to be okay for about a few days and its acting up again.

Car info,
2002
v-8
83,000 ~ miles
VCG's replaced no oil on any coils as of late
newer coils on 2 plugs
no vacuum leak that I can find
voltage good

I did see in my search that I can spray TB cleaner on vacuum lines and it it revs I have a leak, are there any I should avoid doing that with or any I should deffinatly try that on?

It has a jerking Idle, it will rev to about 1000 rpm normally 600.

It will also die if I shut it off and start it with in a small time period, say less than an hour. I t will start if I rev it a bit. It also starts fine in the morning.

Here are the codes I pulled this Morning,

P0175, system rich bank 2
P0172, system rich bank 1

I did a search under those two codes found a good bit of threads talking about them but no one ever found or atleast posted the solution. As far as I saw.

Other than it drives and shifts awesome plenty of power, it doesn't fall on its face or anything.

Thanks guys

Do you have an intake? I got both of those the one time my cone popped off

I do. do you think my filter is junk, maybe the seals are junk on the filter, I also have the MAF adapter maybe i need a new gasket for that it may be crap

it could be, i would trace the intake piping and the cone, generally speaking at idle you wont hear any sound coming from your intake.

You can safely try throttle body safe cleaner everywhere there might be an air leak. A little less messy (and almost as safely) would be to use some propane (from an unlit torch).

I do think that this is an air metering problem, but I will throw out that leaky fuel injectors can also cause the symptom you list above.

Okay, Joe I will try the tb cleaner, don't have any propane laying around other than the grill. Maybe I'll have Hank Hill send me some....

Also by leaky injector, do you mean o-rings or the solenoid (needle) staying open longer than should be.
