Here is what I recieved from Visteon about their coils.

Visteon's ignition business, including intellectual property, etc., was
transferred to Automotive Components Holdings LLC, a subsidiary of Ford
Motor Co., in October 2005. You may wish to contact Ford directly
regarding the information you seek. We appreciate the opportunity to
clarify this matter for you.

ACH was only created as a temporary structure to protect Ford's supply lines while they conducted an orderly sell-off of the components they took back from Visteon, and they reached an agreement to sell off the last part of ACH (the climate control business/Sheldon Road plant) at the end of October. I don't know who bought the ignition business, but it looks like it might have gone to Cooper-Standard Automotive.

I wouldn't get so hung up on these Visteons coils, I mean, if they aren't in full supply for the V8's just move on and try something else, like the OEM Motorcrafts DG529, or Accel's.
