Just driving along, and all of a sudden I hear i big pop, then I proceed to bounce for quite a while. These are the only pictures I have. The wheel was stuck under the fender pointed in with the LCA pushing it to the outside, so I lifted it up. My dad came by and put really thick wire around the ball joint and it held until we got home. (This happened right outside my neighborhood.) Scared the living :q:q:q:q out of me. The airbag suspension was not affected as it is still holding up for the past 6 hours. The only damage is the lower ball joint, tire is trash and I wouldn't trust the wheel, fender liner is sliced open and fender is obviously done for. Sorry for the crap phone pics. Just another FML thread. Makes me sad, this mark vii is almost perfect too.

that sucks
but how did you do so much damage I had one fail at 75 mph and it scraped up the wheel witch is still on the car

I'm not exactly sure. It is a stock wheel and tire size. All I know is hearing a pop, then a hard pull to the right as I slowed down. At first I thought I popped a tire, then just prayed I didn't hit anyone. Got out and the LCA was pushing into the tire. I'll post more pics tomorrow. 75mph must have sucked a lot more than this. I am almost done with Mark Viii's! I am just going to start driving my Bronco again, to hell with gas mileage!

Edit: And while I was in the middle of the road, literally 20-30 friends drove by.. so embarrassing. My buddy in the Z28 was like,.. I told you it was found on road dead..Lol

YOur "friend" is an idiot.

Fist off, the car wasn't dead. It was merely injured... slightly.

Second, he drives a Camaro... 'nuff said about that wonder of craptacular GM engineering.

But maybe now you'll have learned to pay attention when a suspension part starts telling you it's about to go or at the very least check your vehicle's suspension parts at last at every other oil change.

Well we dick around with each other about the camaro vs the M8..lol.

And I told him it wasn't "dead" but rather immobilized for the moment.

And, he Camaro is probably the noisiest, in terms of rattles, shakes, creaks etc, car I have ever riden in, totally agree with you. In all respect though, of all the cars that I have had, Mark Viii's have had the most amount of problems of any.

And ironically, I was on my way home with a set of Moogs in the back.:(
