So just a bit ago

like and hour or so i started my car that has a broken timing chain to put in my garage cuz it was gonna snow... she sounds so bad... well anyways so my brake work fine... my steering doesnt work and my battery light is on but my battery was died i had to charge the battery cuz i guess a light was on in the inside of the car..

does anyone have any ideas what could cause this
