and I cracked the black bezel. I tried to super glue it back together and I think it will hold but it looks terrible. Anyone have an extra one for the drivers side? Gen 1. Do others usually paint it? What color? I would imagine it is preference but what have others done? I was also curious what people think painting the bowl for the turn signal black. I was going to put LED's in and was thinking of trying to do something different.

I think a black or color match looks good on certain types of paint. What color is yours?

Silver. My grill is silver also. I am getting my car reprinted soon and have been thinking of adding some black to the front again. Grill and lower grill too.

id say plasti-dip it and if you dont like it peal it off. no harm no foul.

I painted my bezel black. Mine were sun faded gray and stuck out in a megative way.

I would think that painting the chrome of the turn signal bowl would grwatly affect the visibility of the turn signal. Might be a cool look tho

I also cracked one of my bezels when in did my eyes. In 2 spots I used gorilla epoxy on the backside to fix it and you can't tell.. you didn't get any super glue on the front of the bezel did you? That stuff usually dries white and crusty, if your bezels are black, and thats what happened, you may be able to cover it up by spraying black paint onto a folded paper towel and dabbing the glue, kind of blending it

I have a spare light that I mess with and tried painting the chrome bowl a different color to see how it looked, but never tried it out since it won't reflect light anymore.

I have two gen one full headlights that can be yours PM me if you are interested, the lenses aren't in the greatest shape but they have never been opened so spare parts :)

Does anyone have a pic of a silver LS with color matched bezel's? I am thinking I want to do it but am not sure if thats just too much of the same color.

I'm doing a little headlight project and that turn signal reflector has the crappiest reflective coating ever. I used diluted glass cleaner and a microfiber cloth to clean it and it stripped the coating off. I cleaned the rest of it off and am going to try a coating instead. It will be reflective/glossy black along the round low beam contour and the rest will be a glossy/reflective dark gray color.

Just do it and paint over it in black if you don't like it.

I'm doing the same with a spare light. This is also my plan for the high beam reflector, though if successful, it should reflect very well. I'll see how the turn signal reflector comes out first. I'm a little worried about the heat from that little percentage of light that is absorbed.
