As I stated prior I'm swapping out my engine and was going to take it out the top and the engine was seized so there for I had to take it out of the bottom due to not being able to roll over the engine to disconnect the torque converter from the fly wheel... so I was able to use a lift and engine n tranny is down n out... but the torque converter bolts are still on the inside, is there anyway to get this off if the engine is seized or do I need to buy a fly wheel and torque converter to reassemble?

If it is really seized and you cant drop the crank I think the only thing you can do is cut the rear of the crankshaft off.... Assuming that you do not care about the engine core.

Ok, just trying to make sure there's not something else I didnt know about these saying I was shocked to see there was 8 nuts holding it on, but I might go that route anyways seeing I did have a core charge but in the end its either going to cost me having to buy parts or disconnect and not get the core return... thanks

Or, you can take the core to the engine shop and see if they can get the TC and flexplate off. I'm sure it would not be the first time they had this sort of issue to deal with. If not, this is an opportunity to get a new TC, perhaps one with a slightly higher stall or a higher multiplication factor to get more pull on takeoff. Not to mention, torque converters DO wear out.

So I ended up taking a torch and air hammer to the back side of the stud and knocking the stud through to get it off, mainly dealing with time this guy that let me use his lift needed this to be done quick so he had access to his lift for his side job customers... so knocked them through, didnt damage the flex plate and found out the part with the studs was a separate plate that just bolts on to the torque converter, 47$ dealer item... well worth my time and headache of having to deal with the crank
