My whole day was free today so I went down to Distinctive in Tarzana. So I got 20 in the back, 35 in the front. Cost me a grand total of $175 with a lifetime warranty.

I'm going to get pulled over, I'm sure. Next up is either lowering springs or wheels.

Also while I'm here....what do you think I should do about the grille? I like it black and I don't think color matched it would look right. I'm eventually gonna buy the all chrome grille, but for now what do you think?

Paint it to match the car, and while you are at it, paint the rear license surround, as well...they look great when matching!

Do you think it would look good in my color? I mean I'm all for painting it I just want to be happy with it.

Buy the wheels first, then lower it later on.

your not gunna get pulled over. I live in overland park ks and the cops have nothing better to do then mess with traffic violations, yet in a year its never been brought up, even during 3 speeding tickets.

For the grill, I would paint it but if you do and end up wanting to sell it you may have to give it up cheaper than you want just to get rid of it seeing on how its already painted and someone might want it in a another color.

I would lower the car first and see what you can do after that with the wheels fitment.

I know plenty of people that bought what turned them on while the car was at factory ride height and then got screwed with fitment after it was dropped.

Some of these people could have bought the same wheel in a different size and be happier while even in most cases saving money.

Oh and the tint looks good, getting mine redone is on my list. My rear is peeling everywhere and bubbling up in the middle at some spots. I got pulled over for it but they never gave me a ticket, turns out that there is some grey scale thingy that makes it look darker than it is, from what I read anyway and mine is that dark.

The cops in most of these cases only know part of the law from what the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation told me so in some cases you could get out of it.

looks great

The tint looks great. I have the same exact LS, so it's nice to see how it will look after being tinted. I know there's that other member who has the same year and color with a darker tint I belive, but its just nice to get an idea of how it would look.

tint looks good, although i'm not big on two different percents. is your car light parchement gold? definitely either paint that grille surround to match or trade me for the stocky.

The laws around here are odd, I'm not even legally allowed to tint the front windows, so there was no way I would be about to go 20 on the front.

I wouldn't be worried about getting pulled over I have 5% all the way around and we have a no tint law...Don't be too worried....

I like the tint, I have 5% on the back three of mine and 35% on the front two thats legal here in Mo dont know about the other states, I think I just watch a video on youtube that U were in? dont know same name though.(hundred44spoke):D

ey maroonls does that custom cai really work and how much to make it? it's quite unique

Tint is nice...to make your ride look better..
Paint grille surround
Clear the corners (headlights and side markers)
drop it
get some nice 18's

Be honest..if he hadn't told you he had two different percents..would you have been able to tell from the pics?

yes, look at the difference between the front and rear in the side pic. You can see right though the front windows but the back are as black as night. I'm in the same boat as him, I live in Michigan. The guy i bought my car from had tint in the front but got a fix-it-ticket and had to take it out. I guess I'll go tint-less for now.

Point taken. But I've seen that same light difference look in cars with same tint levels all around. Example: Same tint all around, but sunroof open at high noon = more light streaming down into the front seat area, causing the front of the car to have more light. Combination of light coming down through roof plus more light coming through untinted windshield often causes this look/effect.

I agree lseguy, the windshield can let in enough light to offset the look. Same with the moonroof. In my honest opinion, 35% tint all the way around is most functional and gives the car a classy look, but 5%, giving that solid black, also looks great.
