The Sniper Tuner Special Forces works great, it comes with software you load onto your PC and you make your own tunes. You then load them to the Sniper interface through the USB port and then through the OBD2 port. The special forces comes with 2 bullets meaning you can tune 2 cars with it. It works with any Ford OBD2 vehicles. If you want to buy another bullet to tune another vehicle it is very competitively priced. The cars run great with the sniper tune and I can make different programs for race, street, economy etc. You can make as many tunes as you want for each vehicle. The only thing that I haven't been able to solve yet is the anti theft light blinks non stop after I load the performance tune on my 98, no problems like that on the 96. Even if I turn PATS off it still does it? When I go back to stock tune it stops blinking. Also, I found out the 98 PCM holds twice the amount of memory the 96 PCM does even though they are both OBD2. The Special Forces also comes with datalogging software built in. You plug your laptop to the OBD2 port and it records the data. I haven't had a chance to do this yet as ive been playing around with the paramenters for my performance tunes.

MSRP is $495 but you can find better deals on the web. It's definitely worth it and if you have two Ford OBD2 vehicles than it's a no brainer.

Sniper's HQ is not too far away from me. when i get my gears and a few other things. i will be heading to them for my tune as well.

I sell it the cheapest in the USA. I work for them, always knew it worked well. I do all their graphics, ad's and printing.

Hres the tri fold I did with all the info as well as a few others.

Holy crap, Geno I would have definitely got it from you if I knew you sold it and that price is ridiculous! If you have an 96-98 Mark VIII I would recommend you jump on this right away!

Newbie

Hello gentlemen (and ladies if applicable); i say gentlemen because it takes one to appreciate the Mark! I'm the new proud owner of a Silver 98 LSC with less than 75000 miles. I've wanted a Mark since I was old enough to drool. I would like to make some subtle mods to this beauty like performance tuning, wheels, maybe some color. I've been reading everyone's input on tuners and I like the idea of the Sniper setup and the SCT. Do any of these allow adjustment of when and if the car lifts or lowers? I hate the whole lowering at 50 something and lifting below 20, especially in short commutes. I had a 2002 Conti that would allow you to set the ride stiffness at any time.

I know with the special forces you can not adjust that, you maybe able to with the Delta Forces but that software is a lot more expensive and complicated to use. You can get a Sniper chip burned as well by an experienced Sniper tuner and they should be able to set you up. You can call Sniper and ask them.

Becareful with buying a used sniper special forces and interface (if that auction is used), if he didn't program his cars back to stock you will have 0 bullets to tune.

VERY TRUE. I didn't read the text but if there is no bullets then your out of luck. Ours are always new and ALWAYS have FREE shipping too!.

yeah,i think these must be new he has 30 available and most or all his feedback is from sales of these things
$351 plus free shipping is hard to pass up,

how much does the bullets cost?he saya he includes 2 like you got,but if i needed more, how much$$ ?

It depends on who you buy the Bullets from. BTW, do you have a 96-98 Mark VIII?

How easy is the software to use? Do you have to have to know a lot about cars or can someone with a little knowledge use it? Just curious cause my family has a few obd2 ford cars sitting in the drive

It's pretty simple, if you get the sniper tuning I can help you out with any questions you have.

Thanks for offering to help, I wish I knew about this before I got my chip, because I would already have it, but I guess thats how it works.

Can't beat that, order from Geno and support a Lincoln Mark VIII performance company instead of some random dude on Ebay!

+1,

atleast we know we can count on Geno's support in the even of a problem too,
i really wish my mark was obd ii,it would seal the deal for me to buy one of these right now.

thumbs up to Geno, never dealt with him business wise yet,but i like what i have heard about him.

Geno, How much do these extra bullets cost?
My real interest in this software is its ability to program multiple cars for less than full cost of a tuner kit,

i hate the idea of buying an xcal or something and having it sit there on one car only.

The Special Forces comes with 2 Bullets.
So you can do two cars and if you suck back the program and get the Bullet back you can use if for another car.

I sell the Bullets for $149.99.
