Okay, I changed the VCG and plugs and now I'm getting some serious smoking out of the tailpipes. Is this normal? How long can I expect this to happen? Thanks for the help guys.

Sounds like you allowed some oil into the combustion chamber. If it doesn't go away in a couple of days or a nice long ride with some romping on it, you have other issues.

Well, I've never had smoke before and just letting it idle for a minute or two in the driveway and it's already almost gone.

I understand that, which is why I said you let some oil into the combustion chamber when doing the valve cover gasket. It'll be fine provided that's all it is, which it seems like.

Thanks, I'll drive it tomorrow and see what happens, I'm pretty sure I just got some oil where it shouldn't be. I mistyped the title too, I just noticed. I was trying to type without cleaning up first and not covering my computer in grease. Sure and glad that jobs over, at least until I have to change a coil pack or two.
