i know my mirrors used to work, now the only thing i can do is move the drivers mirror up. the pass. doesn't move at all. any help would be appreciated, i feel like a bum reaching over to move the mirrors in my Lincoln.

Mine just went out. Bought a window switch on Ebay for 20$. Fixed it right up. Common problem on Gen II.

did a new switch fix your problem as well? my driver side works fine, although I hear clickingas it moves when I first open the doors (memory setting adjustment). Pasenger side won't respond at all, occassionally will let me move up and down only.

Throw in my opinion. My cars problem was with a factory installed remote start. When I used it to unlock the car it would put my mirrors in all jacked up positions, not the memory settings. I switched to using the regular keyless entry key fob and it works fine. Don't know if anyone else has had this problem but just listing it as such.

Mirror issues usually break down to being the switch. Specifically the contacts in the switch. There's not enough wiping action to keep the contacts clean. The switches are usually easy to disassemble. Clean the contacts with a pencil eraser (ala slot cars). Reassemble and test. I've had to do this on my last 3 cars.
