Should I sell my LS?

it has 139,000 miles and sounds like crap. All kinds of ticking and oil keeps leaking into the coils (ive replaced the valve cover seals twice). Its the v8 model and it has a rebuilt title. im not even sure someone would buy it or how much its even worth.
I love my car but aside from the engine stuff my suspension needs about $850 in parts really bad (id do the labor). Im just not sure what i should do with it.
I took it to the local garage and they quoted me at around $1500 to 2000 for the engine work not including the suspension.
My car needs work and if i keep it instead of selling now im affraid itll break and ill get not a penny for it. Do these cars even last that long?

Really I need some advise guys what do you think?

If you're totally done working on it, put it up for sale and see what kind of offers you get.

Otherwise, fix it up to tip-top running condition and you will get more for it, it's all up to you.

im not sure if put min. $2000 is worth putting into a car with a rebuilt title to try and get more money. After all the hassle ill break even or be down. I was kind of looking to get ideas from other owners who maybe had this year car and their experiences with keeping it up after 140k miles

153xxx miles and running strong. Normal wear and tear items....

You are correct, in that spending money on that car will only repair it for your driving. It is worth small $$ with a salvage title + all those miles.

The thing to consider is what it will cost to replace the car, and is it cheaper to fix it now and keep it running for another couple of years. If you decide that a replacement vehicle is in the cards for you, then cut your losses and get rid of it now.

What suspension work is needed?

WHen you replaced the valve cover gaskets, did you change out the oil seals from the spark plug journals? If you did, then the valve covers themselves will need to be replaced. (iirc, there was a batch of engines that required the covers themselves to be changed in order to stop the oil storm into the plug wells)

If your engine's excessive noise is due to timing chain issues that as well is a time bomb that could instantly cost you up to $1000 to repair or replace the engine.

someone told me i could get a new head and block for about $1000. is that true? and yes i did replace the spark plug gaskets as well so it must be my covers themselves :( thats gonna cost me i bet. and yea theres a bad ticking noise coming from the engine so im really not in good shape. plus the suspension work is pretty musch everything. front and rear. the end links sway bars shocks the whole package. so thats where im at with 150k and a rebuilt title:( sucs.
