I have an 02 LS V8 that I'm thinking about getting exhaust on.
For me August is one of the two months out of the year that I get an extra paycheck from just how the pay periods line up. I should easily be able to buy and exhaust setup for the amount of extra cash I'm looking at here.
I definitley want Bassani mufflers but I want the new exhaust setup to look stock. Mufflers located at the rear with turn downs right behind the rear bumper cover etc. I'm not too keen on the idea of notching the bumper. Plus I like the sleeper appeal and the sound of the exhaust echoing off the pavement.
Does anyone know of any exhaust shops in the KC metro area that could set up something like this for me with the Bassani mufflers?
I got screwed by a chain exhaust shop on my Jeep and I'm reluctant to go to one again. From Bassani's website they list one dealer that is in the K.C. Should I start there?
Would stock pipe diameter perform well on an otherwise stock car?
It looks like Ford put an equalizer between the stock tail pipes, should I keep that?
I want to keep the cats because I might have to pass emissions at some point.
Thanks for any input.
